Fine Food Show Sydney 2011 PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 03 October 2011 11:50

Premier Food and Beverages Pty Ltd was at the Fine Food Show in Sydney recently as part of the Advantage Austria Pavillion, showcasing four of our brands: Zotter chocolates, Maresi Vienna Iced Coffee, Pelzmann Styrian Pumpkinseed Oil, and Pfanner juices and drinks.

PFB released a number of new lines into the Australian market at the show, including the new Zotter 'Mitzi Blue' range, new Zotter handscooped organic and fair trade lines including Scotch Whisky and Banana In and Out, and of course new Zotter Labooko varieites, including 'Rainbow' chocolate, the first chocolate designed specifically for the gay and lesbian community!

Maresi Vienna Iced Coffee is a shelf stable iced coffee drink, perfect for mini bars, restaurants, cafes and supermarket shelves, and the feedback from tastings conducted was very positive.

Pelzmann Styrian Pumpkinseed Oil is a premium quality certified Styrian pumpkinseed oil. Darker and more intense in flavour than any of the cheaper products in the Australian market, Pelmann Pumpkinseed Oil tastings at the Fine Food Show were very educational and introduced people to a product that has really positive dietary advantages.

PFB also released four new Pfanner varieties in the 500ml PET range at the Fine Food Show. They are: Green Tea and Lychee, Red Orange fruit drink, Green Apple fruit drink and Berry Acai fruit drink. All Pfanner fruit drinks and Iced Teas contain 30% less sugar than regular sweetened soft drinks, and are bursting with flavour. These new varieites, along with the other exciting flavours available, really add something different to your drinks offering, and help keep your customers coming back for more.

Thank you to all of our current customers who visited, and also to the new ones whom we met during the show. We look forward to participating once again at the Fine Food Show in Melbourne next year, and showcasing our new products for the coming year!

New Sweetiva natural sweetener made from Stevia PDF Print E-mail

Stevia is a natural plant based sweetener, tasting similar to sugar, but with 99% less calories in tablet form than regular sugar, and 82% less in stick form. (The extra percentage in stick form comes from the natural ingredient dextrose).

Sweetiva is made from Stevia extract, which is drawn from the leaves of the plant. Stevia extract is virtually calorie free, and has no negative effects on your teeth. Stevia is successfuly grown over three continents: South America, Africa and Asia. The Guarani tribe in the highlands of Amambay (Paraguay) have been using Stevia for hundreds of years, and Dr Moises Santiago de Bertoni, an Italian-Swiss botanist (1857-1929) discovered the plant in 1888.
